October 3: "Larry Hohm Tells Haunting Tales," (1:09:42). An evening of stories by Shirley Jackson, Fredric Brown, Richard Matheson, Terry Pratchett, Ray Bradbury, and Colin Nissan. Recorded in front of a live audience at 18th & Union, in Seattle, Washington. (The story by Richard Matheson has some unusual terminology.)

April 27: "Out of the Depths," (34:57) by Bill Pronzini, 1994. A clever and unpredictable thriller about a man who washes up on the beach of a small island in the Caribbean, and seeks help in a nearby house.

December 3: Larry Hohm Tells Chilling Tales (01:29:48). Some rather dark stories by Shirley Jackson, Anna Starobinets, Fredric Brown, Jeffrey Whitmore, Dick Skeen, and Ursula K. Le Guin. Recorded in front of a live audience, at 18th and Union, in Seattle, Washington. View the program 

October 26: "The Law of Life," (21:40) by Jack London, 1901, with music by Astrofreq. A solemn and rather somber story about life and death among the indigenous people of the Yukon Territory at the end of the nineteenth century.

July 25: "Mailman," (23:23) by Jonathan Stone, 2016, with music by Dan Lebowitz. A clever story about the dangerous curiosity of a retiring mailman.

July 14: "The Man in the Woods," (25:40) by Shirley Jackson, 2014. A dark story written by a master of the genre. Adapted by Larry Hohm, directed by Colleen Carey, with music by Esther Abrami and Emmit Fenn. It's an enigmatic story that invites discussion. I have recorded some commentary about it, but the commentary contains spoilers, so please listen to the story first. Commentary (05:41)

February 13: "The Irony of Hate," (32:24) by Ruth Rendell, 2004. An unusual murder story with lots of psychological intrigue.

2021

October 20: "The Room in the Tower," (24:29) by E. F. Benson, 1912, a very creepy story about a recurring nightmare.

July 18: "The Big Switch," (29:32) by Mickey Spillane and Max Allan Collins, 2008, with music by Aeron Langford and Terry Wergeland. Classic 1950s noir featuring a hard-boiled private eye.

April 7: "Shatterproof," (13:06) by Jack Ritchie, 1960, with music by Terry Wergeland. A clever murder story with plenty of psychological intrigue.

March 22: "The House," (15:14) by Fredric Brown, 1960, with music performed by Aeron Langford. An enigmatic story, a bit creepy, definitely food for thought and discussion. The story is about ten minutes long, followed by five minutes of commentary.

February 16: "Rules," (19:18) by Anna Starobinets, 2005, directed by John Langs, with music performed by Aeron Langford. Definitely a dark story, not for the faint of heart.

January 3: An excerpt from "The Cows," (7:04) by Lydia Davis, 2011. A charming story, mildly funny, with an unusual premise.

December 25: "Cinderella," (7:29) by Roald Dahl, 1982. A humorous spoof of a classic fairy tale.

December 17: "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," (8:18) by Roald Dahl, 1982.

September 13: An excerpt from "The Other Shulman," (8:26) by Alan Zweibel, 2005. A funny story set in New York City in the 1960s.

August 20: "Blue and Black," (5:02) by Nancy Worrsam, 2016. A warm, imaginative, story.

August 4: "The Scariest Story Ever Told," (14:14) by Colin Nissan, published in the New Yorker, 2015. A humorous spoof.

June 21: "Punch, Brothers, Punch!" (14:06) by Mark Twain, 1876. A humorous story about a catchy little jingle.

June 7: "Beeping Sleauty," (3:03) by Jody Evans, 1972. A spoonerism-filled spoof on a classic fairy tale.

May 31: "The Crocodile," (2:03) by Roald Dahl, 1983. A short bedtime poem, a wee bit creepy.

May 3: "The Three Little Pigs," (6:02) by Roald Dahl, 1982. Another spoof of a classic fairy tale.

April 26: "Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf," (3:45) by Roald Dahl, 1982. You guessed it — yet another spoof of a classic fairy tale.
